Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance you must keep moving. -Albert Einstein
It's been busy here in Teton Valley. Zane's back, he's started cross country running and will be starting Teton High School on Monday. Fall is already in the air. Mornings are very cool. I've been moving and doing.
Pictures with captions at the end of the text and I'll try to keep the text short.
My health appears to be holding up but I had a migraine (unexpectedly) the other day. While at the doctor's office, the doctor pointed out that I've had decreasing kidney function (I haven't noticed anything unusual) over the last year. I am going in today for a follow up test and I'll keep you all posted about the results. Interestingly enough, I called my mother to get some sympathy and she's having virtually the identical problem with low GFR and high Creatinine. We're getting the same follow up blood work done.
The doctor didn't tell me to do anything differently so I'm planning on doing a 24 hour mountain bike race up at Targhee this weekend. I start riding at 12:00 on Saturday afternoon and finish riding at 12:00 on Sunday afternoon. I will probably sleep at some point during the night because I'm not sure I'm capable of staying awake all night long! I slept through part of my labor with Zane. We'll see how it goes!
Enjoy the pictures!
My favorite baby ever, Brendan. Milissa (his mom) says I can borrow him sometime.
An interesting sight out my bedroom window!
The view up Coal Creek Canyon. Gorgeous!
I passed this log twice during my run up and down Coal Creek Canyon. It scared the crap out of me twice. I thought it was a bear!
Allison, Colleen and I at the Aspen Trail. There's a grizzly roaming around up there. Good thing we didn't know it at the time. Ignorance is bliss. Besides our talking and laughing scared it off.
Paul and I went to the Jackson Hole Music Festival and saw Wilco and Brian Wilson. Wilco was great. There was an unbelievable amount of butt crack and we got many good shots of it!
This guy was having a good time at the music festival.
Look closely at the picture on the bathroom door at Teton Village. Yes, I'm really immature.
Me at the top of Fred's mountain, the base of Grand Targhee resort is behind me 2,000 vertical feet down.
I'm slow, this sign must be for me!
Paul running up the 3.2 mile section of road on the Grand Teton Races course. He did his longest run (21 miles!) Sunday.
This is called longboarding. It brings out the mother in me. These kids and adults are going to get killed. This is a common sight on the Ski Hill Road.

Go, Dusty! Go, Dusty! You can do it! I am wondering if the decreasing kidney function might be a part of Addison's? I do not have perfect kidney function either. There is a family history of kidney issues to include my dad's kidney cancer. It makes one wonder if some day the puzzle will be solved. I am thinking of you!
