It's early October for heaven's sake! I will post something more substantial later but felt the need to whine publicly about the temps.

Brrr! I'd be whining too.
ReplyDeleteIf it's any consolation it's supposed to be spring here and instead we're having winter weather. Snow all through the middle of the country and down to around 400 metres here (we're at around 200m). The cold is being accompanied by freezing gales and rain, with the odd bit of hail thrown in for good measure! I did an 80k cycle race in the wind, rain and hail last weekend and messed my back up. Our group ride got cancelled this morning, thankfully, but I'm hopeful the wind and rain will ease off enough for me to race again tomorrow. I'm supposed to be doing a 4-lap 100k race. The physio says to go around as often as I can, until my back starts to hurt again. I'm hopeful of going the full distance, provided I get across the startline. It's FREEZING here today and the wind's hammering rain against the window.
ReplyDeleteThat does make me feel better Pip, we're not alone!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the race!!! I hope your back starts feeling better soon.

Dusty,
ReplyDeleteDo you cross country ski? I think you said you do. I love doing it and its great exercise.
Joel
Joel, I skate ski a few times a winter. I'm hoping to get XC skis this winter, having the skis doesn't get me out there to do it though! I really prefer running on the snowmobile trails. Less fuss, no technique needed!! I'm one of the least coordinated humans on Earth so anything that involves coordination is painful (mentally and physically) for me.
