Day 2 - Day 3

Day 2
Time finished: 6:30?
Place: Parker's Crossing, TN, mile 82
Treasures: seeing Tim and Kathy Dines, petting a baby mini pony, flipping Laz off when he offered me a ride, having lunch paid for by some locals who thought I weighed 100 pounds.

Day 3
Time started: 3:30 am
Time now: 9:30 am
Location: Chesterfield, TN
Treasures: seeing Naresh's smiling face, chatting with the amazing Fred Davis, finding a quarter and being propositioned by a toothless man named Stanley who was buying beer at 9:30 am (he lives behind the Pentecostal church.

I felt pretty awful this morning. Couldn't get a decent breakfast. Feet hurt badly last night. No blisters, the bottoms hurt. I massaged them and iced them as per Bogie's instruction. I will live. Legs are sore and tired. I have no idea why but I thought I'd wake up and feel fresh as a daisy!

What was I thinking? Why did I think this would be fun?

Time to go catch John Price. He was leaving this stop as I was pulling in.

  1. Dusty, thank you for the update! I'm out here in the Orange County (So. Cal.) keeping up with your journey ( as a fellow endurance athlete myself) keep it up, we are ALL pulling for you! Through your push and determination I will be re-tweeting and soon will be posting your link to a blog I will be starting this week. I want to keep helping others in understanding what Addisons is and how it effects people’s lives. I know a bit about Addisons (due to a friend who has it and I care about) and saw how it effects people medically. Dusty thank you ! You can do it ! Stay positive! We are following you!
    Kind Regards,

  2. Dusty, I've been following your blog, google maps and I'm so inspired and in awe. You are doing so great - I cannot believe that you've run almost 100 miles at this point...amazing! And of coarse your feet hurt, just stay safe and sound and healthy. Good luck today and rest up tonight.

  9. Keep on going, girl! I know I keep telling you this, but you truly are in inspiration to others. I wish I could pick up the phone and call Mom and tell her what you are doing. She would always say, "when she makes up her mind, she doesn't give up, and I love that about her."
Use that determination and keep on. Have some fun along the way. :)
    Cheering you on in Ohio.
