Blog changes

Thanks to everyone who followed Training Because I Can! over the last nine years. This blog started with Addison's Disease, hypothyroidism and a crazy idea of doing an Ironman distance triathlon. My life has changed and so has this blog. I am using this blog strictly for Addison's Support topics from here on out. I hope to continue providing people with hints for living life well with adrenal insufficiency.

29 days and counting to Big Horn

Stormy day!

That's right, 29 days and counting until Big Horn 100. How am I feeling? Nervous hell. I haven't prepped (med plan, food plan, medical info for staff, decided on clothing or found a place to stay) yet. As far as training goes, I'm pretty happy with it. I'm on the low end of mileage for doing a hundred but I'm OK with that. Before I did the Bear last fall, I had a LOT of miles under my belt and my body was a little achy (broken hip too) in general. Not so many aches and pains now. I'm pretty fatigued a lot of days by evening. I'm thinking of starting to take 5 mg HC extra when I run or walk 8+ miles. I keep forgetting to do that and now I'm paying for it.

Pictures from the last week.
