Blog changes

Thanks to everyone who followed Training Because I Can! over the last nine years. This blog started with Addison's Disease, hypothyroidism and a crazy idea of doing an Ironman distance triathlon. My life has changed and so has this blog. I am using this blog strictly for Addison's Support topics from here on out. I hope to continue providing people with hints for living life well with adrenal insufficiency.

April 2013 in pictures

Keiko is getting more friendly by the day.

Dolly is scared of the bird and hiding in a cubby.
This is Angel, he's a beauty!  He's a Goffin Cockatoo.  He got a home shortly after I took this picture.
My cousin, Stephanie, came to visit

April was a "heavy" running month (heavy for me is normal for many people).  I took pictures of all of the weird stuff I saw when I was out and about.

I always find Vienna Sausage cans, don't you?

I don't know what this shit is but I found it on the side of the road
This helmetless motorcyclist is wearing a shirt that says, "Safety First"
 Just funny to me

It says, "Slow drivers use the right lane"
This nice man was at the gym wearing a shirt that said, "It's all fun and games until someone loses a wiener."  I actually asked for permission to take this picture (I don't usually).
More Vienna Sausages

Buttwell, hee, hee hee

Psyche was here.  She lost her flip flops.  Vol State training

I found a lot of money in April and donated all of it to Pennies for Parrots

March 2013 in pictures

March was so busy.  The leaks continued, the fighting with the flooring people, only smelly concrete in the house, Karen (Paul's mom) came to visit, we had windows replaced and our countertops replaced.

Sorry Christians, this was so creepy.  The towel was bloody.  There were three of them.

I love the bridges around here.  This one spans the Peace River

These people are serious about golf.
The public pool.  This view makes me feel happy and peaceful.
St. Patrick's Day breasts.  As you can tell, this woman just purchased these and she was VERY proud of them!
At IKEA in Tampa with Heather, we saw this thing pass by and it was HUGE.  We didn't know what it was.
The newest love of my life, Keiko, a fourteen year old Senegal parrot.  We got him March 16th.  He's amazing.
 Florida sunset
Bobcat running by our front window, the photographer (me) wasn't fast enough.

After the water leaks and ensuing damage, I was left to drywall all of the holes.  I'm terrible at it but most of the holes are in closets and behind things.
While Karen was here, we went to Mote Marine Aquarium, it was cool.
 At Mote
Karen went out of her comfort zone and did Stand Up Paddle boarding.  We did this at Stump Pass.  It was very cool.

February 2013 in pictures

86 degrees in February is AWESOME!

My baby, who is now 19, was born in this house in Estes Park, Colorado in the Big Thompson Canyon

He went back and checked it out when he was on a road trip.

Seen on the golf course by my husband

This mummified frog was stuck, how it got there is beyond me

This picture is terrible and I apologize.  This was a bob cat that watched the dog and I go by.  They are beautiful!

A live frog that I almost stepped on while walking the dog one morning.  I am thrilled that in February there were frogs and not SNOW and ice.

We had a water leak.  It was a pain in the ass.  Those fans were loud and were going 24/7 for over a week.

To relax during the noise, I went to Target and relaxed and texted Molly while sitting on the patio furniture.

The nastiest toenails I've ever seen
