Blog changes

Thanks to everyone who followed Training Because I Can! over the last nine years. This blog started with Addison's Disease, hypothyroidism and a crazy idea of doing an Ironman distance triathlon. My life has changed and so has this blog. I am using this blog strictly for Addison's Support topics from here on out. I hope to continue providing people with hints for living life well with adrenal insufficiency.

Happy Holidays, lots of snow and trail withdrawl

Happy holidays to everyone!  I hope everyone's holiday was/is what you wanted it to be.  Ours was quiet and peaceful.  With a lot of snow.  We're getting hit with storm after storm.  We got about 2 feet of snow at our house between Christmas Eve and Christmas night.  We supposed to get another 6-10 tonight.

The drift in the above picture looks like nothing but it was about 3+ feet high, 8 feet deep and 10 feet wide.  It was packed too.  We actually called a plow instead of shoveling it ourselves.

Well, I think I'm going to do the 100 at Rocky Raccoon.  I've got a pacer!!  Paul my husband has volunteered to be my support guy for the race.  Wahoo!

I've got back to back long runs in winter conditions this weekend.  Tomorrow might be 20 miles on the treadmill but today is 20+ miles outside in blowing snow.  ewwww  I got a Garmin 305 for Christmas so I will be able to track my run, heart rate and stuff.  Fun!  I have no interest in running on the roads and I'm suffering from trail withdrawl.  I ordered some running snowshoes and they should be here Monday.  I can't wait to get back on the trails!!!

Only in Idaho do snowmobiles ride on the highway.

Dolly braves the snow and wind to chase snowballs. 16 seconds long.

Hi Dusty..good to see you in the car today!!!

I am doing back to back long days as well..so let's try to hook up for at least one of them.
One day is a snowshoe run for me and another is 4-7 hours...
