Wow!!!!! This has been absolutely amazing!!! Thursday was a 5 hour bus ride through Morocco to the initial bivouac. The food and "production" have been incredible, Music, Wine, beer, tables.
Today we had our first day of the race!!!!!!!!!!! It was 33 k, stunningly beautiful and VERY hard. Of course I was tremendously nauseous, 30 minutes after finishing,I was fine. We did 13 k through huge dunes. There were clouds so temps only hit 90 or so. I took 8 hours to finish today, the winner 3. I'm still very happy, it was amazing. Helicopters flying overhead, filming and waving cheerful volunteers calling me Justine. Tomorrow 38k.

It's so good to hear an update! thanks Paul! I'm so glad Dusty has you!
Dusty, I've been thinking of you the last couple of days over there in the desert! :)
I can't believe that you are getting faster and doing as well as you are! Definitely enjoy every moment you can as it ill be a blur once you're done. Tried to email on the xiti link but couldn't follow it, so hoping this is the right place. Love the updates and your adventuresome spirit thriving under such conditions! You are in my thoughts and prayers and I am sending you lots of extra oxygen molecules! Lisa Infanta
Lisa, Dusty had the wrong instruction on her blog regarding the emails to her and that XiTi icon. I have fixed the link now, so it should work for you. I passed along your comment in my own email, but I am sure she would love to get one from you directly. - Paul
