It's been busy and I wish I had more Addison's content for you. Mostly I have pictures.
I decided to try once again to complete a 100 mile race. I've been following a training program that I found online, I've actually been following it this time! Part of the training is to do a back to back 50 mile and 25 mile run. Luckily there's a local race that will accommodate this training.
September 5th, I'll do Grand Teton Races 50. September 6th, I'll do the trail marathon and hopefully, I'll be able to walk on Monday, September 7th! The 100 miler I'm doing is The Bear 100 on September 25th and September 26th.
My training has been full of wonderful, long beautiful runs through the Teton backcountry. The small zip loc bags of salt tablets and hydrocortisone are working well for keeping my energy consistent. I put about 600 mg of salt and 5 mg HC in a ziploc and take one every hour on the hour.
