Blog changes

Thanks to everyone who followed Training Because I Can! over the last nine years. This blog started with Addison's Disease, hypothyroidism and a crazy idea of doing an Ironman distance triathlon. My life has changed and so has this blog. I am using this blog strictly for Addison's Support topics from here on out. I hope to continue providing people with hints for living life well with adrenal insufficiency.

Rocky Raccoon 100 miler is a week from today!

Unorthodox training, ok, working.  Hauling two 50 pound bags of dog food on a sled through 4 foot deep powdery snow (filling a fish feeder, it's my job).  It was a challenge!  After this I carried six 40 pound bags of salt from my car to the house.  Needless to say, I skipped my run this day.  I was tired and sore the day after.

I'm nervous and excited (?) about my first 100 mile race.  It's a running race but I will probably be doing lots and lots of walking.  The race will take me about 30 hours.  Paul will be there to run with me and support me at the aid stations.  This weekend, I swear I'm going to make a race plan/med plan for Rocky Raccoon...

It's been a week full of meetings and obligations BUT lots less running so I've had time to work and go to meetings.  Got a dang migraine on Tuesday night.

Salty wouldn't let me leave the ranch.  He was blocking the one lane driveway.  He was very interested in eating snow.  I think he's lonely.

I've updated my website homepage.  Check it out if you feel like it.

Pip,

I hope you're feeling better and ready for your busy week.

I am working on that plan tonight. I don't know why I'm putting it off. I'm really annoying myself with my procrastination.
