Blog changes

Thanks to everyone who followed Training Because I Can! over the last nine years. This blog started with Addison's Disease, hypothyroidism and a crazy idea of doing an Ironman distance triathlon. My life has changed and so has this blog. I am using this blog strictly for Addison's Support topics from here on out. I hope to continue providing people with hints for living life well with adrenal insufficiency.

South Fork Bench Trail

Today is Paul and my seventh wedding anniversary.  Happy Anniversary Paul!!

It was a cool, overcast day and I had planned to go to the South Fork Bench Trail.  I have to say I was glad I did.  I saw two tanagers, two owls (big ones!) and the others below.  It turned out to be a gorgeous day.  All I could think of was how lucky I was to be out there, have my health, be warm and in the sun, to see the bugs and animals and stunning scenery. The run went well until the last couple of miles where my stomach went to hell.  I think every thing went to hell because I forgot to take salt supplements.  I did up my HC.  By the time I got to the car, I was dizzy and nauseous.  I started driving and had to pull over and sleep for half an hour.  I popped a Zofran and 5 mg of HC, eventually I felt better and got my appetite back.

Bears everywhere!  This sign cracks me up.  It says "Wydaho" Fish  & Game

On the way up to the bench

South Fork of the Snake River from the bench

Bug orgy

Pelicans?

A lizard!!!!!!!!!!!!!  It's dead

Seriously beautiful!

Volcanic stuff

Theses clouds were incredible

I kept thinking this was Mother Nature's congratulations to the state of New York!!!!

This picture might not look as good  here as it did on my computer.  Lush wheat field and a blue sky with cool clouds.
