Blog changes

Thanks to everyone who followed Training Because I Can! over the last nine years. This blog started with Addison's Disease, hypothyroidism and a crazy idea of doing an Ironman distance triathlon. My life has changed and so has this blog. I am using this blog strictly for Addison's Support topics from here on out. I hope to continue providing people with hints for living life well with adrenal insufficiency.

It's all mental

Fun run with Meara and Jo

Only 24 days until Big Horn, although it's constantly on my mind, I haven't done much planning. I've gotten my meds ready for the week before and week after (increased probiotics, florinef and hydrocortisone).

It's all mental from here on out. I've got one more long run weekend before the race. In reality, most of the work that needs to be done is mental. Creating a race plan, visualizing, knowing I can finish. It's all mental!

I'm on day 102 of my one mile a day streak. Although I'm not getting a huge exercise benefit from walking a mile (usually) slowly on the treadmill everyday, mentally it feels really good. It's a nice habit to have.

As usual, pictures below

Silly, jumping gals

Signs of spring

Joanne does trail work. Tomorrow I'm bringing a saw so Joanne doesn't have to work so hard

The aftermath of the snow storm below

On Saturday, while doing some fundraising for www.runhope.org, we got shut down by a squall

Holding down the fort during the wind

Mill Creek last week, impassable by .3 miles up the trail

Spectacular view, what a treat

Amazing photos as always! At least this race prep thing is old hat for you now. You've got the meds sorted and you know what you can expect while you're out there. I'm so amazed you're doing this already. You are an inspiration!

Pip,

thanks, you're too kind. I've completed one 100 and failed to complete two. I've got a lot to figure out!!!

I'm glad you're getting out and running!

Come visit me!
