Blog changes

Thanks to everyone who followed Training Because I Can! over the last nine years. This blog started with Addison's Disease, hypothyroidism and a crazy idea of doing an Ironman distance triathlon. My life has changed and so has this blog. I am using this blog strictly for Addison's Support topics from here on out. I hope to continue providing people with hints for living life well with adrenal insufficiency.

My bird, Keiko

We have had Keiko for a year now.  He is a Senegal parrot.  He's about 9" long.  Does he talk?  Yes, a little and when HE wants to.  He makes lots of cute noises.  He is 15 years old.

I attempt to refrain from posting pictures of him and writing about him because I don't want to bore everyone.  Below, I will bore you with my baby.  I adore him.  He adores me.  I was sick last weekend and he stayed by my side the entire time.  When I slept, he slept.  When I was awake, he was awake.  What a good bird!

I totally mess with him.

After a bath.

Hanging out

Attacking the rag

Nap time.
He likes a cave, under my desk.

I love seeing him sleep.

He goes WILD over pens.
